Big Brothers Big Sisters - Bigs in School Program - $2500
This agency surrently operates a Bigs in School mentoring program in 5 Pickerington schools, with a 6th to be added at Sycamore Creek Elementary. Mentors are used during school lunch hours or are used after school. This is a weekly program and volunteer menotrs provide 1-2 hours of volunteer service each week.
Ridgeview Middle School, Pickerington – W.I.S.E. Program - $15,150
Winning Intervention for Student Excellence is designed to improve the organizational skills, study skills and rate of work competition of regular education students who are receiving failing or near failing grades.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program - $15,900
Free tax preparation services are provided to those who meet income qualifications. The purpose of this program is to develop awareness in the community of the Earned Income Tax Credit. Volunteers were recruited to assist with preparation.
Brandon’s Bucket Brigade in partnership with AHA! - $5000
An early learning experience for preschoolers ages 3-5 who are not enrolled in another preschool program. This weekly enrichment program will be held at the museum and will incorporate “ Brandon’s Bucket”, a bucket of school readiness tools.
Free Immunization Clinic in partnership with the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation, the Lancaster Rotary and the Fairfield Department of Health - $500
Free immunizations provided for children getting ready to go back to school.
By the Way – Free Medical Clinic - $7000
A free clinic for residents who are uninsured or underinsured and in need of episodic health care. The clinic operates the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at the Maywood Mission.
