2009 Winner: Westerman Companies |
Our biggest event ever! A beautiful day in Lancaster brought 564 participants to this year's 5K Run/2 Mile Walk. Although we experienced a few growing pains (finish line: chute), plans are already underway to expand next year's chute or even better, to use two timers and two finish lines, separating walkers and runners.
Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped make our 12th annual event a success.
2 Mile Walk
Westerman Companies won the trophy for the 5th consecutive year with 109 participating, followed by Diamond Power International with 84 participants and Cross Fit Code with 33 participants. Other companies participating included: Bremen Bank, Hope House Ministries, Peoples Bank, Lancaster Police department, Job & Family Services, the firm of Dagger, Johnston, Miller, Ogilvie & Hampson, WFCO-90.9, Lancaster Vineyard, Fairfield National Bank, Colonnade Medical Group and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Overall, 295 walkers participated in the event.
